What could be more complementary to a lovely walkway than solar walkway lights? Concrete, brick or stone walkways will all look more beautiful with solar lights dotting the path. Anyone who walks on the walkway at night will appreciate the light and your entire landscape will look more tantalizing. If the walkway is stretching from your front door to front of the yard you want to make sure you have enough lighting. The space between each solar light can range between 3 to 4 feet. You can place the lights parallel to each and in which case the distance can be a little further. Or you can place them in a left to right pattern.

Placing one solar walkway light on the right side followed by another one at the left side of the walkway is a great idea. You’ll have to do your own calculation depending how long your path is. A walkway that is 60 feet long with a solar light placed every 3.3 feet will mean you’ll need about 18 solar walkway lights. Fortunately they are sold in packs that include 6, 12 and 18 fixtures. The intricacies of each walkway and yard as a whole will vary. You may need to place them closer than 3.3 feet or you could even place them at longer distances apart. You won’t know this until you place them on the ground and you see for yourself how much lighting they are providing. The size of the solar light in addition to how many LEDs are inside the unit will also vary. The stronger the LED the more powerful the illumination. There are also solar clips that are not as illuminating but are beautiful in their own way. You’ll certainly need a lot more of them but when placed along a walkway on both sides the appearance is something to admire. These are more decorative and less brightness but they do appeal to some people.

Think about how bright you want your walk way to be and then buy the solar lights that will give the amount of brightness you want. This is if you are of the disposition that lighting is more important than style. If not and you are willing to sacrifice some lighting in order to buy more decorative solar walkway lights then by all means do that. You can feel confident that your walkway will look immensely better. You have the lights along the path and won’t show any kind of wiring at all, this is because the lighting can be placed underneath the dirt or hidden along the walkway. These lights are powered by a solar panel that will be at a distance and even hidden behind a tree. Solar walkway lights are economical easy to install and will do what they promise and that it to light up your walkway and make it look impressive too.

We all want our yards to look beautiful and to be nicely illuminated at night. The right kind of solar powered yard lights will accomplish both for those things for you. Yards come in different sizes and depending how big your yard is will determine how many solar lights you’ll need. Most lights for the yeard are sold in sets or packs. This is a great thing because you will need several to properly light your entire yard. You’ll have to decide where on your yard you want to place the, maybe along a pathway or maybe spread around to give your yard a nice accent touch.

Some great areas to put them are along the sidewalk and also near trees. Walkways are places to use them. It is your yard and I’m sure you probably have your landscaping ideas. Solar powered yard light usually come in fixtures that are placed close to the ground and those that longer poles. Construction is made out of either metals or plastics, so have to read the specifics of each fixture to know what they are constructed out of. If you have a large yard then it might make sense to buy solar yard lights that are sold in a pack of 18. You might think this is a lot of fixtures but you’ll probably need all of them if not more. Also do you want your yard illuminate brightly or do you also want to add other colors for decoration. There are some designs that have colored LEDs such as yellow, blue, red or green. This can look very lovely at night but they provide less illumination than bright white LEDs. Similar to all other kinds of solar lights you can expect wireless fixtures if the solar cell is built-in with the LED. My advice is to buy a small set of solar yard lights. You can then determine exactly how many you’ll need.

The size of your yard, the placements of footpaths, trees and also how much external lighting you have from streets lights will determine how many solar powered yard lights you’ll need. What’s also very important is the power of the rechargeable NiHm battery, lights that illuminate the yard in general require more power. They are turned on more frequently because people and pets are always coming in and leaving the house. And when this happens the solar light turns on if it has a motion sensor.
